TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF OCHI VISION EYEWEAR PROTECTION PLAN

INTRODUCTION

Thank you for choosing the Ochi Vision Eyewear Protection Plan (“Plan”). By purchasing this Plan, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below, including details on coverage, claims, cancellations, and other important provisions.

These terms, along with your purchase receipt, constitute the full agreement between you and Ochi Vision (“Ochi”). If you have any questions about your Plan, please contact us at claims@ochivision.com or call (+971) 586 977 811 between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. Dubai time, seven days a week. To file a claim, refer to Section 5 below.

DEFINITIONS

  • Accidental Damage: Unintentional physical damage or breakage to your eyewear. Ochi may require details on how and where the damage occurred, including photographs.
  • Covered Product: Your eyewear, including frames, lenses, coatings, and films, covered under this Plan.
  • Plan: The eyewear protection coverage purchased at the time of your eyewear purchase.
  • Term: The duration of your Plan, beginning on the date your eyewear is delivered and lasting for the specified period on your receipt.
  • Waiting Period: The time between claim submission and resolution (replacement, credit, or denial).
  • You/Your: The individual who purchased the Plan.
  • Ochi: Ochi Vision, the provider and administrator of this Plan, located at STI Park-Block B, Office – B40-041, Sharjah. Contact: service@ochivision.com.

WHAT IS COVERED

This Plan provides one-time full replacement coverage for your eyewear due to:

  1. Manufacturing defects (beyond Ochi’s standard warranty).
  2. Normal wear and tear that affects usability.
  3. Accidental Damage that affects functionality or visual clarity.

If your lenses are marketed as damage- or scratch-resistant and develop scratches that impair vision, Ochi will replace them under this Plan. Approved replacements will be shipped free of charge.

This Plan allows for one (1) full replacement per Term. Once a replacement is issued, the Plan becomes void.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED

This Plan does not cover:

  • Issues covered by Ochi’s standard warranty (30 days for eyewear, one year for anti-reflective coatings and photochromic films).
  • Intentional damage, misuse, or unauthorized modifications.
  • Damage caused by pets, chemicals, bending, twisting, or improper storage.
  • Loss, theft, fire, natural disasters, or other external events.
  • Prescription changes, fit issues, or preventative maintenance.
  • Cases, decorative elements, or non-Ochi branded lenses placed in Ochi frames.
  • Damage occurring before the purchase of the Plan.
  • Multiple claims or recurring damage caused by the same issue.

HOW TO FILE A CLAIM

To file a claim, contact us at claims@ochivision.com or call (+971) 586 977 811 between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. Dubai time, seven days a week. Provide your name, purchase date, receipt, and details about the issue. Photos of the damaged eyewear may be required.

Claims will be evaluated, and Ochi will either approve a replacement, request more information, or deny the claim. If approved, Ochi will provide an identical or comparable replacement. If a replacement is unavailable, a store credit equal to the original purchase price will be issued.

If denied, a detailed explanation will be provided, and you may request further review by a supervisor.

OCHI CARE COST

Ochi Care, an optional eyewear protection plan, is available at the time of purchase for an additional fee based on the eyewear value:

  • AED 100 for eyewear priced between AED 300 – AED 1,000.
  • AED 200 for eyewear priced between AED 1,000 – AED 2,000.
  • AED 300 for eyewear priced between AED 2,000 – AED 3,000.

Additionally, a deductible fee of 25% of the eyewear’s original price applies when claiming a replacement. This ensures continued coverage while preventing losses. The deductible must be paid before the replacement process begins.

This one-time fee ensures hassle-free replacement under the terms of this Plan.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • You may cancel your Plan within 30 days of purchase for a full refund if no claims have been filed.
  • After 30 days, a pro-rata refund will be issued, minus the retail value of any replacement provided.
  • Cancellation requests must be submitted via email or phone.
  • Ochi may cancel the Plan in cases of fraud or non-payment, with a 30-day notice provided.

LIMITATIONS AND LIABILITY

  • This Plan is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
  • Replacements will be of equal or similar value based on availability.
  • Ochi is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of the product or claims processing.
